Chaos & Flow is all about water in motion. My intention is to
produce images of intimate landscapes that do not conform to the usual
"cotton wool" result of flowing water. I've always seen this subject as
Chaos & Flow: Chaos in the random interaction of the subject with
its surroundings and Flow in the way it travels and makes the image.
I have found that this subject works extremely well in the Black &
White medium as it has the perfect ingredients: contrasts, textures and
drama. It sympathises with the subject beautifully by giving an
ineffable quality that colour cannot quite achieve.
This part of the gallery is split into the locations from which they're
taken. All are local to where I live and my favourite places to capture
with the camera.
I love capturing this subject and it has become very addictive. I
can stand in the same place, take an image, take another a second,
minute, hour, month or even a year later and it would be different in
its feeling and texture.
It is a wonderfully fascinating and satisfying study.
